Acupucture

Acupuncture is harmony between ancient wisdom and modern western healing, originating approx 2000 years ago in China, it has been a main part of the medical system ever since.
It is a technique that involves inserting thin needles into specific points on the body to treat various health issues and relieve pain. It is based on the idea that energy, or "Qi," flows through the body in channels called meridians, and the use of acupuncture can help restore balance. Western Acupuncture aims to stimulate the body's natural healing mechanisms by stimulating sensory nerves and muscles. This may then lead to the release of endorphins, and the body's natural pain relievers.
Western Acupuncture combines both Traditional Chinese Medicine with evidence based intervention to create a treatment that may positively influence many health and well being issues:
- Chronic & Acute Pain
- Stress & Anxiety
- Musculoskeletal issues
- General Well-being
- Relaxation
- Immune Enhancement
- Fatigue
- Women's Health & Menopause
- Nausea
- Headaches /Migraines
- Digestive Issues
To fully benefit from acupuncture as a treatment it is recommended that clients should start with four acupuncture sessions close together before moving on to maintenance sessions, each client and condition differs and this will be discussed on your initial enquiry.
All clients will be required to complete a client consultation form before acupuncture treatments can commence. They will also be provided with
pre - treatment and aftercare advice.
